UOB has an extensive credit card loyalty programme that gives out UNI$ to customers when they spend on selected credit cards. In this guide, we discuss which cards let you earn UNI$, how many points you can earn, and what you can do with them.
UOB Rewards Points are known as UNI$, and are awarded on eligible transactions with selected UOB credit cards. Besides credit card spends, UNI$ are also awarded as sign-up bonuses, and you can earn bonus UNI$ when transacting with participating merchants or selected spending categories.
UNI$ are awarded for every S$5 spent, so this may account for minute differences between how many UNI$ you’re expecting and the actual amount you receive. They are redeemable for air miles, vouchers and cash credit to offset your bills or purchases, making for a pretty versatile perk.

This is a shopping-oriented card that lets you select a preferred spending category from the following list:
Fashion
Dining
Travel
Beauty and Wellness
Family
Transport
Entertainment
Transactions made in the selected category will earn 10 UNI$ per S$5 spent. You may change your preferred category once every quarter. All other purchases charged to your card will earn 1 UNI$ per S$5 spent.
There is no minimum spend required to earn UNI$.
As the premium version of the UOB Lady’s Card, this card allows you to choose two different spending categories from the same list of seven listed above on which to receive 10 UNI$ per S$5 spent. This potentially increases the amount of UNI$ you can earn, depending on your spending habits.
Transactions in non-selected categories will earn 1 UNI$ per S$5 spent, and you can change your spending categories every quarter. No minimum spend is required to earn UNI$.
While this is advertised as an air miles card for travellers, you will receive UNI$ for eligible transactions in your account. You will then need to convert your UNI$ to air miles when you want to use them at a frequent flyer programme.
We will cover how to convert UNI$ into air miles later on in this guide.
This card gives you 3.5 UNI$ per S$5 spent (1.4 miles per S$1) on all local transactions. You will also earn 6 UNI$ per $5 spent (2.4 miles per S$1) for transactions made overseas or denominated in a foreign currency.
There is no minimum spending required to earn UNI$, although each transaction has to be at least S$5.
This card gives you 10 UNI$ per S$5 spent on overseas, online contactless and petrol transactions, with a minimum spend of S$2,000 per month (S$1,000 in local transactions and S$1,000 in foreign transactions). The maximum UNI$ you can earn this way is 4,000 UNI$ per month.
If the minimum spend is not met, or for all other transactions, you will earn 1 UNI$ per S$5 spent.
The UOB Visa Infinite Metal Card is targeted at the affluent, with annual salary requirements of a minimum of S$120,000. Despite the steep requirements, this card has a UNI$ earn rate that is similar to that of the UOB PRVI Miles Cards.
You’ll earn 3.5 UNI$ per S$5 spent (1.4 miles per S$1) on all local transactions and 6 UNI$ per $5 spent (2.4 miles per S$1) for transactions made overseas or denominated in a foreign currency.
Supplementary cards will also earn UNI$ at the same rates as primary cards, but the reward points earned will be allocated to the primary card account.
Only primary cardholders can redeem UNI$ for perks and privileges.
You may convert your UNI$ into KrisFlyer miles, Asia Miles or AirAsia BIG Points to redeem plane tickets, purchase seat upgrades or pay for other perks.
For KrisFlyer and Air Asia, the conversion rate is 1 UNI$ to 2 miles, and conversions are carried out in blocks of 10,000 miles. This means you’ll need at least 5,000 UNI$ to make an air miles conversion.
For AirAsia BIG Points, you can convert 2,500 UNI$ for 4,500 points.
Once you have sufficient UNI$, you can request for them to be converted to KrisFlyer miles or Asia Miles by filling in this online form. Each conversion will cost a S$25 fee and will take approximately 14 working days.
Meanwhile, AirAsia Points may be redeemed at the UOB rewards page – simply select how many blocks of points you want to convert, and check out your shopping cart.
KrisFlyer members may opt for automatic conversion of UNI$ to miles by filling out the enrolment form. Once enrolled, UOB will perform an automatic conversion at the end of every calendar month, provided there is more than 15,000 UNI$ in your account. If there is an insufficient points balance, no conversion will take place for the month.
Automatic conversion of miles is done in blocks of 2,500 UNI$ (5,000 KrisFlyer miles). This service will incur a S$50 fee, paid annually.
UNI$ may also be used to directly offset your purchases at participating merchants.
To do so, simply present your eligible UOB credit card when making a payment and choose to offset your payment by the amount available to you.
You can also purchase vouchers for participating brands using UNI$, and then use them to pay the next time you’re in store.
Do note that Instant rewards redemption is not applicable for UOB American Express, Singtel-UOB, UOB JCB and UOB Union Pay Credit Cards, and redemptions may not be cancelled.
Pay with UNI$ offers even more ways to use your UNI$. You can convert UNI$ into loyalty points on partner platforms or use UNI$ to pay for your purchases at participating merchants.
See the following table for details.
In general, this is the process of how Pay with UNI$ works.
You’ll need to download the UOB TMRW mobile app and login in.
You should also have the app of the merchant or platform you’re trying to pay using UNI$. For Apple products, you’ll need to be logged in at the UOB Apple Rewards Store.
Follow the detailed instructions for the relevant partner:
